Rose's "Required Tastes" album offers a sophisticated, cinematic approach to house music, reminiscent of a romantic runway fashion soundtrack from the early '90s. Primarily instrumental, it captures the nostalgia of a bygone era of romance and the journey of genuine companionship. Drawing inspiration from Maybelline makeup commercials, romance films, novellas and his own childhood memories, Rose skillfully merges the dreamy moods of '90s electronic music with the ethnic rhythms and pulsating basslines of South Africa's emerging Amapiano genre. "Required Tastes" features 11 arcs and runs for a total of 49 minutes and 39 seconds. Each arc is accompanied by a literary vignette. The album is the perfect backdrop for indulging in luxurious activities in the company of good friends.
